Curtis graduated Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music in Boston. He moved to Los Angeles in 2001 & later formed the acclaimed indie rock band, Curtis Murphy Syndicate.

Curtis’ song, “All That I Want”, was featured in the blockbuster comedy film, “HAROLD & KUMAR ESCAPE FROM GUANTANAMO BAY” in 2008.

The band won an LA Music Award for “Rock Single of the Year” for their song, “Take a Little While”. A 2nd song was also nominated in the same category called “Lines Upon Your Face”, and they also received a nomination for “Rock Album of the Year” for their album entitled, “What It Is…”.
